(C91) [R kaffy (Aichi Shiho)] Shounen Succubus -Date Hen- [English] [Digital] + Important 2017 Announcements!

Happy New Year!

Here's to 2017 hopefully being filled with just as much trap goodness as 2016. I'm sure if you know about this blog, you already know what this series is about, but here's a succubus lovey-dovey date chapter for you. It's very sweet.

(tl;dr skip to the end)

So, I have three (kind of four maybe?) announcements regarding commissions. Note that these are not going into effect today. I'll make a real post about them when they do (probably 2 weeks or so). They're all upcoming changes. The first one is probably going to be bad news for most of you, so we'll get that out of the way to focus on the positives. It's a price increase. Now, if any of you are familiar with other translators out there, you probably knew this was coming, as my prices are insanely low. I only know one other translator that comes close, and he's...not the best quality (If his name starts with CG, then yes, it's who you're thinking of). In fact, $1 per page is approaching what some people charge just for scripts or editing alone. As in, just one, not the other. So I'm increasing the price to $1.50 per black and white page. This is still lower than many other translators, and for most people, it'll only be an increase of $10 or so per commission. But for me, since I'm getting way more commissions than I thought I would, it'll be a nice bonus. I'm keeping the CG sets and transparent text bubble prices the same. Only the black and white ones are being increased. I'd like to increase the CG set prices too, but CG sets are usually large, and I feel like anything over $1.50 is too much for them. I'm sure you're probably thinking "But what if I want a tank!? Before I could commission you for a whole tank and it would be affordable!" Fear not, big spender. Read on.

Now for the good stuff: First, I'll be doing a discount on large single translations. I'm not sure where the price cutoff will be, but something like $150 or more (so $100 with the previous $1 price) will net you a discount back to the original $100. Now, this only counts for single large, black and white translations. Basically, tanks. The gist is that a big tank will be essentially the same with the new price as it is now. I'll talk about specifics when I release the real announcement post in 2 weeks.

Second, I'll be expanding my genre a little bit to include shemale stuff. It's a small expansion, but I know some people out there will like this. There doesn't have to be traps or anything in it any longer. Shemale is now accepted for commissions. I probably won't translate much myself as free translations, but you can commission shemale now. Note that this does NOT include futa! There are already enough translators out there for that. Futa commissions still require a trap to be present. If you're confused by futa vs shemale, here's my policy: if it has a vagina, it's futa. If not, it's shemale. Some people like to draw the line at balls or not, I don't. Vag = futa. Simple.

Third, and here's where it gets really good, is that I'll be attempting a new crowdfucking crowdfunding system for large translations. The idea was suggested to me by someone in an email, and apparently they got the idea from smdc a while ago, so thanks to them. It's essentially exactly what it says. People will be able to create crowdfunding posts for their larger commissions. This will be open to any single commission of a single work. So if you want a single CG set translated, or a large tank, or even something with transparent bubbles, now you don't have to come up with the money all on your own. How it's going to work is that people can pay a deposit (say, 30% of the cost; again, I'll have to think about the exact amount when I make the real post in 2 weeks), to open a crowdfunding option for me to translate something. I'll make a post about it on the blog, etc. Then once it gets funded, I'll add it to the end of the current translation queue I have. The cool thing about this is that, not only will popular stuff get maybe hundreds of extra people donating, even if it's only $1, to get stuff funded, but even unpopular stuff, you don't lose anything by funding it, as you can just gradually put your own money down if nobody else is interested. For example, if you have a $200 CG set, and you put down the $60 or whatever as a deposit, but then a month passes and it only gets, say, $100 (so a total of $160), you can say fuck it and put the extra $40 down. Or just wait. I'm also probably going to offer refunds after a certain amount of time has passed and nobody funds. They'll be full refunds minus whatever amount the crowdfunding site takes.

tl;dr: Black and white doujinshi prices increased to $1.50 per page, discount if you commission a single black and white translation that's over $150 with the new price ($100 at old price). Genre expansion to include shemale (no trap required for shemale) but not futa (trap still required somewhere for futa). Vagina anywhere = futa, no vagina = shemale.  Opening up crowdfunding for expensive translations. Instead of paying $200 for a single translation, put down a $60 (% amount pending) deposit, then see if anyone else will pay a bit to get it translated.

And there you have it. 2017 looks to be starting off as a busy year. This will be my 4th year translating things. I honestly can't believe it's been that long. It feels surreal that people now regard me as one of the more famous translators out there, and one of the only consistent ones for trap content. I still remember translating small individual images back on /d/ and thinking "Hmm, this is kinda fun. Maybe I'll try translating something bigger." Now this blog has over one and a quarter million individual views. That's insane. I don't want to make this a really long post reminiscing about the past, but rather I just want to say that I can't believe how far this whole thing has come. The ride never ends, though, so let's hope 2017 is as interesting a year as 2016 was. I had a lot of fun with you guys in 2016, and I'm glad to see you're back in 2017. Until next time.

  1. Been thinking about commissioning a certain CG set for awhile now. Too expensive for me but the crowdfunding might work.

    Happy New Year!

  2. Really happy about the crowdfunding option. Hopefully we can pool together enough money for the good stuff to finally(!) get translated.

  3. Happy New Year! I absolutely love your translations and style. I'm just as amazed that this is your fourth year (my third year following the blog) of production and I'm finally going to submit a commission or two. Now I can step out the darkness of 2016, and bask with you in the bright light of 2017.

  4. sweet. In the past I could never get anyone to translate trap stuff.
